Municipal Improvement for Future Growth – Submersible Pump Station

MUNICIPAL SEWAGE PUMP STATION DETAILS

The Public Works Department of Junction City, Oregon had determined that a planned 49-lot residential subdivision would over tax an existing wastewater lift station. A larger municipal sewer pumping system station was planned, one that would handle current and near future flows. The new triplex submersible wastewater pump station would be designed for a duty point of 598 gpm @ 118’ TDH. As the city grew, even larger sewage flows would have to be pumped from this pump station location, so the city decided to have a second wet well installed. This reserve capacity would be tied into as demand dictated.

Romtec Utilities supplied both 8-foot diameter wet wells and one package sewage pump station. In addition to complete pumping system engineering design and supply, Romtec advised the pump station contractor, started up the wastewater lift station and provided training to sewer agency operation and maintenance personnel.
