PROJECT DETAILS

The rural community of Scio is in the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. A new 77-lot residential subdivision was planned on flat land about a mile from the municipal wastewater treatment plant. The subdivision’s sewer terminated approximately 30′ below the nearest gravity sewer, thus requiring a sewage lift station.

Romtec Utilities worked with the developer’s consulting civil engineer to design a complete sewer pumping system on a 1,850 sq. ft. site. The custom package wastewater pump station includes a Romtec building to house the lift station controls, sewage odor-control equipment and the pump station’s standby electrical generator. The duty point of the duplex submersible pumps is 191 GPM @ 69′ TDH.

THIS ROMTEC UTILITIES SYSTEM INCLUDED

  • City specified: Multitrode MT2PC controller, SCADA system, auxiliary power & hydrogen sulfide control system
  • Precast concrete wet well: 6’ dia. x 19’ deep, fall & confined space entry control, pedestrian-rated hatch
  • Pump disconnect panel: with free-air stand, cable hatch
  • Davit crane: Thern 5124 crane w/hand winch for lifting submersible pumps
  • Piping & accessories: all stainless steel
  • ITT Flygt submersible pumps: Two NP3127 HT, 10 HP solids-handling pumps
  • Fluid Level monitoring & control: Primary – MultiTrode probe, Redundant/Back-up – MultiTrode probe w/MTR relays
