STORMWATER DETENTION PUMP SYSTEM PROJECT DETAILS

The high water table of a new 60-unit single-family residential development requires stormwater detention areas that temporarily hold and filter water before being discharged into the nearby creek.

Romtec Utilities designed and supplied a complete pumping system for controlling the water level in the detention/biofiltration area. As the water level increases, excess water drains to the pump station’s concrete wet well. A control gate can be used to limit flow to the pump station during extremely rainy periods. The duplex submersible pumps have a duty point of 880 GPM @ 12.6′ TDH.

Precast concrete wet well: 6’ dia. x 16’ deep, fall & confined space entry control, pedestrian rated hatch
Wet well piping & accessories: all stainless steel
ITT Flygt submersible pumps: NP3102 LT, 5 HP
Level monitoring & control: Primary – MultiTrode probe, Redundant/Back-up – MultiTrode probe w/MTR relays
Auxiliary pump station power: Control panel supplied with a generator receptacle for a trailer-mounted generator
Pump station electrical controls: UL listed
Pump station communication/telemetry: Localized alarming, beacon
