STORMWATER DETENTION PUMP SYSTEM PROJECT DETAILS The high water table of a new 60-unit single-family residential development requires stormwater detention areas that temporarily hold and filter water before being discharged into the nearby creek. Romtec Utilities designed and supplied a complete pumping system for controlling the water level in the detention/biofiltration area. As the water level increases, excess water drains to the pump station’s concrete wet well. A control gate can be used to limit flow to the pump station during extremely rainy periods.
