High Pollutant Diversion Pumping for Environmental Protection
| Stormwater Lift Station | |
| SURFACE WATER PUMPING SYSTEM PROJECT DETAIL The Creeks Restoration & Water Quality Improvement Division of the City of Santa Barbara, Calif. strives to improve creek and ocean water quality and restore natural creek systems within the city. This citywide effort prevents polluted dry-season surface water from flowing into Mission Creek by diverting it with submersible pumps to the wastewater treatment plant. The nearest sanitary sewer is approximately 10′ away and 11′ above the storm drain thus requiring a lift station. Romtec Utilities designed and supplied a customized package stormwater pump station to be installed in Haley St. near the point where the storm drain flows to the creek. Romtec staff advised the city and contractor during pumping system installation, and Romtec coordinated the pump station start-up and provided operation and maintenance training. The duty point of the duplex submersible pump stormwater pump station is 278 gpm @ 16.5 TDH. Click here to read more about this project in Municipal Sewer & Water. THIS ROMTEC UTILITIES PACKAGE PUMP STATION INCLUDES City specified items: MultiTrode controller, SCADA/telemetry systems Services included with every Romtec Utilities Pump/Lift StationFree pump/lift station sizing, pump performance curve, design proposal, quotation | |
