A Fully Packaged Fiberglass Lift Station

Fiberglass Wet Well
Destined for the South, Xerxes is putting the finishing touches on a prefabricated fiberglass wet well for an industrial lift station system. This is truly an example of a package lift station by Romtec Utilities, and it is unique for such a large wet well to be completely preinstalled with the necessary system components.

The size of the wet well is massive enough at 10’ dia. X 18’ deep, but it also includes 12” discharge elbows and piping.  It makes for a heavy shipment, but having key components preinstalled saves a lot of time during on-site installation.

The whole fiberglass lift station is essentially built before it’s even shipped. The USF hatch, discharge piping and elbows, guide rails, deflector panel, and vent all have been installed into the fiberglass lift station. Even the additional installation parts will be shipped inside the wet well.

When the wet well arrives at the industrial site, the whole fiberglass lift station will be lowered into place and secured, essentially ready to begin operation. The pumps will simply need to be lowered down the guide rails and the discharge pipes connected to the force main. And, voila! A new fiberglass lift station system.

So, is this a lift station package or a package lift station? I submit it to be both! Either way Romtec Utilities is committed to continuing innovation for lift station design, and the fiberglass lift station might just be the next BIG thing!
