PACKAGE SEWAGE LIFT STATION PROJECT DETAILS

A large, national homebuilder is developing land in the southwest section of Bakersfield, California. One new tract, a 221-lot subdivision, requires a sewage pumping system. Due to this area’s flat topography, the subdivision’s gravity sewer terminated approximately 29′ below the nearest existing municipal sewer line.

Romtec Utilities designed and supplied the complete wastewater pump system and provided advisory services to the pump station contractor. Romtec also started up the pump station and trained municipal wastewater agency operation and maintenance personnel The duty point of the duplex submersible wastewater lift station is 525 gpm @94’ TDH.

THIS ROMTEC UTILITIES SEWAGE PUMPING SYSTEM INCLUDES

  • City specified items: ITT Flygt FMC controller, SCADA, odor control system
  • Precast concrete wet well: 6’ dia. x 34’ deep, fall & confined space entry control, H-20 rated hatch, interior coating
  • Sewer wet well piping & accessories: all stainless steel
  • ITT Flygt submersible pumps: NP3153 HT, 20 HP
  • Wet well liquid level monitoring & control: Primary – ITT Flygt pressure transducer, Redundant/Back-up – ITT Flygt floats w/MTR relays
  • Precast concrete valve vault: H-20 rated hatch, 6" dia. system, check & operational valves, discharge pressure gauge, by-pass pumping port
  • Trailer-mounted generator for pump station standby power: Cummins 40 kW, diesel fuel
  • Pump station electrical controls: UL listed
  • Pump station telemetry: telephone alarming, SCADA system
  • Pump station odor control: Wet well exhaust fan
