On-site Treatment – Site Remediation at Bulk Liquid Tank Terminal
STORM WATER LIFT STATION PROJECT DETAILS
Upgrading of a tank terminal located alongside San Francisco Bay required the placement of a two-foot wide slurry wall 10′ deep around the 25-acre bulk liquid storage facility to contain any ground and surface water that may have become contaminated. The wall, combined with a layer of impervious mud below the site contains all surface and ground water from draining off the site.
A storm drain system collects this water, which is drained to the concrete wet well of the Romtec Utilities package storm water pump station. Collected storm water is transferred into an oil-water separator. The treated water can then be discharged into the bay.
